A retreat that allows you a bit of both?
We know that a great retreat has all the benefits of sitting for hours and chatting while working on your favourite project, so we aim to give you time to relax and play as well...
There will be an outing on Tuesday to this beautiful viewing platform in Sucha Beskidzka (a bit of walking is needed), and on Wednesday, we take a drive to Beskidzki Raj, the views from there are phenomenal, and if you don't mind the stairs they have a viewing tower that allows you to have a full 360 panoramic view over the southern mountains in Poland.

We offer a short trip to Poland, but we'll make sure you experience the best of local culture!
Therefore, time will be made to allow you to experience the best of Sucha Beskidzka, enjoy the local sites and do some shopping!
The high street in Sucha Beskidzka has many shops, ranging from clothes to carpets and everything in between...
This town may not be a top tourist destination like Krakow, but it offers an authentic Polish experience at affordable prices.
Knitting or Crochet?
How about both?
Carol Ibbetson will be holding a session on Tuesday and Wednesday morning.
There will be one knitting and one crochet, you can join one or the other or both or bring your own WIP. You will learn something new and have a project to work on possibly even take home with you.
These are optional but are included as standard, materials needed etc will be available closer to the date.
Full Board!
We aim to provide you with the best Polish eating experience possible.
Polish meal times differ from those in England, so meal times may seem foreign.
Breakfast - by 8 am
Second breakfast (snack/sandwich etc)- around 11 am
Obiad (main meal) around 2 pm
Kolacja (evening snack) after 6 pm...
The apartments will also have tea, coffee, milk, water and juice available.
The apartments will have Breakfast, and Kolacja provided for you to help yourself. I can offer a complete list of what will be available. If you have any food intolerances, please let me know before booking.
However, Obiad (your main meal for the day) will be served in 2 fabulous restaurants close to us. Your cost includes your main meal and one soft drink.
How about a pick-up?
As our location is rural, we know it's not an easy place to get to, so we have agreed with Cool Wool, that we would include 1 or 2 pickups from Krakow Airport on Monday, 17th June. The times are to be confirmed once you have booked your flights, and we will aim to collect as many of you as possible (timing-dependent).
Ideally, these will be between 12 - 6 p.m. - due to logistics, we will not be able to organise pick-ups for flights arriving in the evening.
You will also be dropped back at the airport on Thursday 20th - again times to be confirmed and where possible we hope to take as many of you back as well.
The cost for the Retreat includes a nominal amount for all travel while with us. Should you wish to make your own way or your flight is outside of the confirmed times, we will be happy to help you organise travel to us.

Tuesday 18th June

Lesson 9.30 - 11.30 With Carol
Leave around 12 pm
Go to Castle car park… walk to the viewing platform.
Walking is only about 20/25 mins - 10 mins uphill. The rest is relatively flat.
If going up will be an issue, you can stay and explore the bridge and stream, which is on the way.
Go to Sucha Beskidzka Castle for Obiad 2 - 2.30pm
Walk to Historic church - 10 mins.
Walk back through town for shopping pick up around 6 pm ( shopping and church are optional although recommended)
Kolacja is supplied in the room - we will be providing Polish dumplings.

Lesson 9.30 - 11.30 With Carol
Leave around 12 pm
Go to Beskidzki Raj… viewing tower.
We will drive there and back, and walking up the tower is optional either way, the views are spectacular.
We aim to leave by 1.30 pm at the latest as there are Obiad reservations at Restaurant Szafran.
Back to the house for some R and R and then join us at the BBQ / Firepit around 6.30 pm for Kolacja. We will provide you with a Polish sausage and some bread and you can cook your own... its fun, tasty and safe (as the Sausages are smoked, even if you don't warm it all the way through you will still be fine!)
