Sucha Beskidzka Castle
The castle is owned by the Sucha Beskidzka Commune and functions as the cultural centre of the city and region. Its premises are home to the Sucha Beskidzka Town Museum, the Municipal Culture Centre, the Tourist Information Point, the School of Tourism and Ecology and the “Kasper Suski” restaurant and hotel.

Walking Routes In The Beskid Region

Sucha Beskidka Historic Walking Route
Sucha Beskidkza is a proud historic town with plenty of historic buildings, which are showcased in this walking trail. The route is approximately 8.5 km long, and walking time is approximately 4 hours (excluding visiting the exposition of the Sucha Beskidzka Museum, for which an additional 1-1.5 hours should be spent).
Viewing Platform
An impressive view of the entire surrounding area, mainly the panorama of the town of Sucha Beskidzka with the Sucha Beskidzka castle and church.
It takes around 25 minutes by a leisurely stroll to reach it from the market square in Sucha Beskidzka.
Sucha Beskidzka Swimming Pool
The swimming pool and facilities in this lovely building are quite new, due to this its used for national competitions. The pool has a slide for children as well as a decent-sized area for them to play as well as a full-sized olympic pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym
Karczma Rzym
A place whose history dates back to the second half of the 18th century. It was then that a unique log building was built, which has survived in its original shape to this day.
For lovers of traditional flavors, they serve stryszawski żurek, Drwala cutlet and many other dishes.
Church Nawiedzenia NMP
The Suska parish was founded by Piotr Komorowski in the years 1608 - 1614. First, he expanded the castle, and then built a church in the Gothic style (late Renaissance architectural and decorative details), dedicated to the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, putting it into use in 1614.
Hiking Routes Starting In Sucha Beskidzka
We are incredibly fortunate to be situated on the black route of the Magurka trail. It starts in Sucha Beskidzka at the train station, and our apartments are about halfway along this route. As you can see from the image here, the walking route follows the length of our road, Zasypnica!
Beskidzki Raj.
Beskidzki Raj Hotel is a three-star hotel located in a picturesque area on the top of Beskid Żywiecki with recreational and entertainment facilities.
The huge area around the hotel has an observation tower and numerous attractions for children, a volleyball court, a tennis court, and inside, among others: a bowling alley and a relaxing wellness area.

Mucharskie Lakes
Mucharskie is located on the Skawa River, which is the border between Wadowice and Sucha counties. The dam is located in the town of Siwinna Polemba, approximately 6 km south of Wadowice, on the national road No. 28 towards Sucha Beskidzka.
The lagoon has a very varied coastline that stretches for about 11 km with restaurants and access to the lake.
Magurka
A peak with a height of 872 m on the eastern side. On maps and tourist guides it is sometimes included in the Beskid Zywiecki Mountains.
At the top, the borders of four towns meet: Stryzawa, Sucha Beskidzka, Zawoja and Grechynia. The slopes of Magurka are cut by valleys of several streams. The largest of them are: Grechynka, Zasypnica, Czerna.
Babia Gora
Babia Góra, or Babia Hora is a massif situated on the border between Poland and Slovakia in the Western Beskid Mountains.
The park is located in the Beskid Żywiecki mountain range, Poland’s second-highest mountain range (after the Tatras).
Waterfall and Walking Route near Zawoja
The waterfall is one of the highest and most beautiful cascades in the entire Beskids.
Water falls from a vertical, 8-meter threshold, effectively splashing against rock ledges - the whole creates a beautiful amphitheatre wall.
Mosorny Gron (Ski Station)
Mosorny Groń is a modern tourist and ski resort, established in 2003. Currently, it is owned by Polskie Koleje Linowe.
The ski resort has a cable car with 4-person chairs that takes us to an altitude of 1,045 m above sea level.
Zawoja
Zawoja is a village in southern Poland located close to Maków Podhalański. It has 6,200 inhabitants and is often mentioned as one of the biggest / longest Polish villages.
It's full of amazing restaurants and is a lovely village with plenty of character.
Wieliczka
The “Wieliczka” Salt Mine is an extraordinary place – hidden from the world, full of secrets and legends.
Hand-chiseled salt sculptures line the mine’s winding tunnels and underground chambers.
The mines are now the official Polish Historical Monument and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its attraction includes four chapels and an underground lake.

Żywiec is a town on the River Soła in southern Poland near the Żywiec Lake and Żywiec Landscape Park.
The Żywiec Brewery was founded in 1856 by Archduke Albrecht Friedrich Habsburg, and is one of the most famous breweries of Europe. The Żywiec label was registered in 1959 in the Patent Office, thus becoming the first trademarked Polish beer label after World War II. The dancing couple, having won the status of an international brand, still adorns the labels or Żywiec beer, recognised around the world.

Karol Wojtyla as a student repeatedly took part in a school trip Gron (then Jaworzyna) and the nearby Leskowiec. The last time came on Leskowiec as a cardinal in 1970.
In 1995 on mountain established the Chapel of Our Lady Queen of the Mountains as a gift from tourists to the Holy Father John Paul II.

Mosorny Groń (1047 m above sea level) is a peak in the Police Range, at the foot of Babia Góra. The observation tower on Mosorny Groń was built in 2022 right next to the upper station of the cable car.
