Deciding what to do during the February half-term is always one that, as a parent, we skipped many times. Christmas has just finished, and booking a holiday in the UK doesn't seem that appealing: wet, windy and cold.
Why not look a bit further afield, only 2 hours by plane, and visit the mountain regions in Southern Poland? There is more to experience than you know!
February Half-Term Adventures!
The possibility of giving the children the experiences we never had is a must, and now it's accessible and affordable as a week in our apartments is around £300 for 2+2.

Skiing for Beginners
Lessons, Ski Hire and only 30 mins away - the 'Wojtek' slopes are perfect for all ages. The average cost of a 1-hour lesson, boots and skis hire and ski pass for 4 hours is £25 - £30 per person.
Lego Museum in Krakow
A train ride to Krakow, a 10-minute walk to this hidden gem, and a joy for adults and children!
The train to Krakow and return is approx £5 per person and the lego museum for a family ticket (2+2) was 110zl (£22)
Energylandia - Winter Kingdom
Visit this theme park in winter (WINTER KINGDOM FROM 30.11.2024 TO 02.02.2025), with so many things to do!
The price of an adult is 179zl (£35), if you visit more than once there are deals available.
Ice Skating in Sucha Beskidzka
This pop-up ice rink is a treat, 5 minutes from the apartments at only 10zl (£2) for an hour per person!
There is another in Wadowice as well so there is always a choice.
Skiing - More Advanced
Are you looking for more of a challenge and a more considerable slope?

Cinema
Test your Polish skills by watching a Polish movie.
All children's movies which are in English are dubbed into Polish however, the Movies for the adult audience are offered as dubbed or with PL subtitles - for only £3.50 per adult, it's a great way to escape for a few hours and indulge for a small price.
Bowling
The bowling is in the Castle, which is only a 5-minute drive from us.
The newly renovated Orangeria boasts 2 lane bowling and a lovely cafe.
The lane is available to rent by the hour and can take 8 people 100zl for the hour (£20) and so much fun.
Swimming
Do you take the opportunity to go swimming?
Our local pool has a sauna, a decent pool for laps, a baby pool and a play pool for the children as well as a slide!
You pay 16zl (£3.20) for an hour, and deals are available for more extended or family groups.
Exploring the Woods
This free option is the best and one we do daily.
Taking a walk in the woods, exploring and taking in the nature is free and open to all.
